Sinem Atakan has a PhD in Marketing from University of Michigan. She is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Ozyegin University (Istanbul, Turkey).

Her research interests lie in the broad area of food consumption and health. Currently, she mainly focuses on how the act of food preparation itself affects food consumption, specifically healthy consumption. Previously, she has worked on the areas of self-concept, emotions, and culture and published in various academic journals such as IJRM and Psychology & Marketing. She teaches courses on marketing, consumer behavior, and brand management in undergraduate, MBA, and Executive Education programs. She is an experimental cook and an avid traveler.


Catalina is a PhD Student in Business Administration with a passion on food consumption behaviors. She is a believer on innovation based on consumer needs, and this is why she chooses to understand consumers from their core. She is also a proactive Scientist/Engineer with ability to develop, lead and implement new baked snack products. Such skills had been proven in 5 years with more than 25 new baked snacks products developed for PepsiCo, contributing to double digit growth supporting business and financial objectives of FLNA in the cookies and crackers category. As part of her critical experiences, she worked in Asia Pacific during thirteen months as Bakery Expert to lead and coach Quaker Cookies platform in terms of Innovation, Quality and Productivity.


Huy Tran (Msc. BI Norwegian Business School) was a research associate at GreeNudge, researching health interventions at Nordic Choice Hotels, health-related marketing strategies at Rema 1000, and food choices at Fazer Catering. His research interests cover shopping behaviors and choice making process at grocery stores and restaurants. He finds joy in data mining, behavior observations, and consumer behavior research.
